Building a Fall Wardrobe

Building a Fall Wardrobe
In many parts of the country, autumn means unpredictable weather that can go from cold to warm to hot to chilly to freezing, all within 24 hours. We recommend wearing breathable layers that you can quickly peel away if you get overheated, or add to when the sun goes down and the temperature drops.
We also like to work in some lovely warm fall colors. This year, we are seeing a lot of rich aubergines, as well as lovely taupes and browns. If you prefer cool tones, we are also loving classic black and grey.
Here are some of our favorite fall outfits:
The TKEQ Essential shirt makes a great base layer. It is form fitting, with a wicking, breathable material with thumb holes. These shirts do run small, so we recommend sizing up one to two sizes. The Samshield Adele breeches in asfalto are another great wardrobe addition. The neutral grey will match with almost anything. Asmar Equestrian's Lauren sweater is made with 60% coolmax fabric, which is designed to regulate body temperature, and is perfect for crisp fall days. We like this outfit paired with the Tailored Sportsman silver spoon belt, which has a black and silver metallic snakeskin pattern. If you need another layer, the TKEQ down vest in cove coordinates perfectly. These vests pack into a small carrying bag, so they're great to stick in your backpack or trunk.

Fall is a great time to try some warmer tones. We love the Tailored Sportsman hazelnut breeches, which are a rich taupe color. Available in low rise, mid rise, front zip and side zip--email info@jodsonline.com to special order. They pair perfectly with the Arista Equestrian Magnolia sunshirt and Tailored Sportsman snakeskin belt. For an extra layer, add a pop of color with this Goode Rider down jacket. The unique quilting pattern is very flattering on, which is not always easy to find in a puffer coat!
Another favorite of ours is the new Arista Equestrian Stretch Plaid vest. The bit detail on the back make this a show stopper piece. We love it paired with the Winston sweater in camel with brown elbow patches--on sale for $99! This versatile vest is great for wearing with your beige show breeches, such as the new Equiline BrendaK breeches. Everyone raves about the new B Move fabric on these breeches--lightweight but smoothing and structured for a flattering look.
Or, go add some color with the Samshield Adele breeches in aubergine, which are a beautiful deep plum with sparkles at the back pockets and on the thigh. Shown here with Tailored Sportsman quilted clarino belt in plum.
When the temperature drops, finish this look off with the TKEQ packable down coat in champagne. This mid weight layer will match with everything you own, and is the perfect length for riding.
We hope you all stay safe and stay warm out there and have a lovely fall! Feel free to use the chat function on the website to ask us any questions or to special order something!
